A sudden pod gathers a throng together
to gawk by the water. It's rare, their half-
mooning close along the break line.
Wearing official red trunks, lifeguards keep
us from slipping in, from lingering
a few moments just beyond the reach of curious
sunbathers, envious creatures so merely
tethered to beach sand. And now one leaps
free of surf, flashes a second, silver,
rocketing through space. But soon
it splashes down, and then dolphins
emerge ...melanie my angel
cant wait to sit with you,
watching the funny lovely dolphins
